Teikei is generally seen as a mutually supportive, equal partnership between organic farmers and consumers for the direct distributing of organically grown products. This partnership aims to produce food in an ecologically sustainable manner, to secure farmers’ economic viability, and to provide consumers with healthy and safe food. Teikei also delineates its ultimate goal as transforming current industrialized unsustainable food systems into solidarity-based, ecologically benign,and more equitable food systems.
