Gender-Responsive Policies

This space is dedicated to exploring how public policies and budgets can be transformed to better support Initiatives for Feminist Agroecological Futures and advance structural change in food systems. Building on SWIFT project research, this section highlights how policies can be made more responsive to the needs, contributions, and rights of women in agriculture and rural communities.

Here, you’ll find policy briefs, analysis of gendered power relations, and examples of how feminist economic principles can be applied to public budgeting. Resources include insights into how care, food, and environmental justice intersect, as well as tools for advocacy, legal reform, and policy co-creation.

This page is designed for policymakers, activists, researchers, and local actors who want to understand and shape gender-just transitions through meaningful policy engagement.
